Graeme Moffat

After spending 19 years in the financial sector, as an award-winning manager at HSBC who thrived on building successful customer service teams and implementing regulatory change, Graeme felt it was time for a new challenge and joined VITA in 2022. 

Graeme brought a wide range of cross-transferrable skills from both his time at HSBC and his previous background in IT which have helped him to have a strong start with the business as he navigates the complex world of VAT and indirect taxes.

  • His detailed-orientated nature has helped with analysing data and is well suited to reviewing client accounts.
  • Using out of the box problem solving to look at alternative solutions for our clients.
  • Ability to navigate the complex nature of tax legislation through his research.

Graeme is preparing for completing the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) exams in 2025. 

As well as his role as indirect tax senior Graeme is also the Practice Manager for the firm, responsible for the reviewing and implementation of the firms policies and procedures. Graeme's management and implementation of our foundations ensures that the firm continues to achieve excellence in delivery.
