CBAM Update

Yesterday, the VITA team came together for a strategy day focused on one thing: making sure CBAM Compass genuinely delivers for the businesses that need it most.

With the UK CBAM secondary legislation consultation having just closed, and a second batch of draft regulations expected in spring, the pace of development is accelerating. The 1 January 2027 go-live date is not moving but the window for structured preparation is narrowing.

What we mapped out yesterday wasn't just a roadmap for VITA. It was a reflection of where our clients are, and what they'll need over the coming months: clarity on exposure, confidence in their data, and a practical path through a genuinely complex compliance landscape.

CBAM Compass exists to provide exactly that, whether you're taking your first steps or stress-testing a strategy that's already in progress.

The next few months will define who arrives at January 2027 ready, and who arrives scrambling. We know which we'd rather help you be.

If you'd like to understand where CBAM Compass can fit into your planning, we'd love to hear from you.

In the meantime our very own CBAM expert Craig Stobo has recently shared his thoughts in two very insightful articles in Accountancy Age and The Business which you can read here https://lnkd.in/eHxSscHf and here https://lnkd.in/dX-F27Xq
