Most tax libraries teach you the answers. VITA Pulse helps you ask the right questions. We are on a mission to raise VAT awareness across the accountancy profession - spotting the red flags, identifying the opportunities, and knowing when to contact a specialist.
Silver membership is free and open to approved accountancy firms. Gold is by invitation only - extended to firms with a closer relationship with VITA.
What is VITA Pulse
VITA Pulse was created to raise VAT awareness across the accountancy profession. It helps accountants spot the red flags, identify the opportunities, and know when to contact a specialist. While most tax libraries teach you the answers, VITA Pulse is different, it helps you ask the right question.
It is a free resource with no limits on downstream use, and signing up commits you to nothing. If a client issue arises and you need support, you are under no obligation to engage VITA further.
VITA Pulse is effectively a club for accountancy firms, through which we provide high-quality written and video content, free of charge, aimed at strengthening VAT awareness. Our objective is to help teams better recognise VAT red flags, understand where issues may arise, and know when specialist input may be required.
Why we built VITA Pulse
We built VITA Pulse because we kept seeing the same thing: good accountants spotting that something about a client's VAT position didn't feel right, but not always sure what to do next. VITA Pulse is designed for exactly that moment. It gives your team the confidence to recognise the issue, frame the right question, and know when a quick conversation with a specialist will save everyone time.

How VITA Pulse Works
VITA Pulse works downstream, rather than handing you the technical answer, it sharpens the question, helping your team catch the red flags, see the opportunities, and recognise the moment to bring in a specialist.
The platform is split into six different types of resources, four Silver and two Gold, with Silver available to all, whilst Gold is by invite only.
Whilst the platform doesn’t offer any advice, when you do realise you need more support then VITA are well placed to step in and offer paid support with the next steps.

Charging structures that work for you
All access to VITA Pulse is free, but please note that it is limited to downstream use. Should you require any advice or assistance, this would be on a engaged/paid basis. We would be well positioned to support the next steps, including the more complex jobs, and to help you scope and quote the work so you can explain the position to your clients. Even then, you are under no obligation to engage us
Essential VAT Support
Either £125 flat rate per question* , or fixed sum**
With regard to your shorter questions, we would be available by phone or email to help. This covers all scenarios that take up to 30 minutes to understand and answer. This frees up your, and your team’s, time to get on with adding your own specialist value to the process.
Often on understanding the problem, it can become apparent that the client is asking the wrong question, or not the full question. Identifying this early saves time, energy and costs. We bring the experience that means we often know the right questions, even when others don’t.
Expert VAT Guidance
Bespoke pricing, rates ranging from £150 to £345 per hour*
When a query does go beyond the Essential VAT Support model we can agree a scope of work with you in advance and quote fee estimates - providing you with a degree of certainty of costs and allowing you to consider your onward billing process.
We work with many accountants, and have experience of arrangements whereby we act as outsourced advisor, or very much part of the team on a white label basis. Every case is different, and you know your clients and what will work best for them.
Strategic CBAM Support
Bespoke pricing, rates ranging from £150 to £495 per hour*
Our CBAM specialists can provide strategic advisory services tailored to your clients’ needs. These include, but are not limited to: impact assessments, readiness reviews, gap analyses, strategic optimisation advice and bespoke assistance.
*All prices exclude VAT, and are reviewed annually 1 October
**Fixed price retainers are available and are dependant on the size of the firm.
