What is VITA Pulse
We position ourselves as a specialist practice with experience across a wide range of issues, sectors and complexities. VITA Pulse is effectively a club for accountancy firms, through which we provide high-quality written and video content, free of charge, aimed at strengthening VAT awareness. Our objective is to help teams better recognise VAT red flags, understand where issues may arise, and know when specialist input may be required.
The content and insights shared are intended to complement existing expertise within firms, whether teams have dedicated VAT resources or more generalist staff. By growing our network and investing in education across the profession, we aim to support better outcomes for firms and their clients alike.
On occasion our services have led to our own redundancy - in a successful way, that we consider a compliment.
One of our accountancy clients stated that we were providing such a good service for their clients that there was a business case to create their own internal VAT team. We are now working with them to augment and support that team.
Another merged with a private equity backed firm, citing that we had done such a good job outsourcing their VAT services, they were attracted by the idea of access to other service lines where they had a gap.

VITA is one of the UK’s largest independent indirect tax advisory firms, boasting a team of seven with close to a combined 150 years of relevant experience. Although our main specialism is all things relating to UK VAT, we also focus on CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and maintain a strong network with like-minded UK consultants in Customs and Excise Duties; specialist VAT trainers; and indirect tax advisors across Europe.

Feedback demonstrates that clients value this approach, and it has led to new clients and significant organic growth, with turnover doubling over the last 24 months. At VITA, we work with a number of accountancy firms - both large and small. We have a flexible approach and work to your needs, ranging from full outsourcing to white labelled advice.
It's our job to make the client look good, and you are the client! On that basis, we are happy to sign any reasonable NDA or covenants to provide confidence in the relationship.
The service is set out to offer support in a timely fashion. This ranges from answering quick questions to avoid bottlenecks and prepare you for a meeting, to assisting on complex projects, restructuring advice and HMRC dispute resolution.

Free of charge for all engaged clients
We will provide your team with information, including technical content and opinion pieces. This will be shared with the team members that you choose across various media including video, newsletters, and LinkedIn. We consider it to be our job to raise awareness of indirect tax issues, to assist your team identify the red flag issues and opportunities.
Essential VAT Support
Either £125 flat rate per question* , or fixed sum**
With regard to your shorter questions, we would be available by phone or email to help. This covers all scenarios that take up to 30 mins to understand and answer. This frees up your; and your team’s; time to get on with adding your own specialist value to the process.
Often on understanding the problem, it can become apparent that the client is asking the wrong question, or not the full question. Identifying this early saves time, energy and costs. We bring the experience that means we often know the right questions, even when others don’t.
Where a question cannot be answered in this timeframe, we would use the 30 mins to properly diagnose the issue, and work with you to strategise how this is discussed with the client, including a means of demonstrating value as to why more work is required and how much that would cost.

Bespoke pricing, rates ranging from £150 to £345 per hour*
As noted above, more complex work will fall outwith the helpline model, and our support would be determined, by you, on a case-by-case basis. We would look to agree a scope of work with you in advance and fix fees - providing you with certainty of costs and allowing you to consider your onward billing process.
We work with many accountants, and have experience of arrangements whereby we act as outsourced advisor, or very much part of the team on a white label basis. Every case is different, and you know your clients and what will work best for them.
Strategic CBAM Support
Bespoke pricing, rates ranging from £150 to £495 per hour*
Our CBAM specialists can provide strategic advisory services tailored to your clients’ needs. These include, but are not limited to: impact assessments, readiness reviews, gap analyses, strategic optimisation advice and bespoke assistance.
